One of the many programs offered is job shadowing. With job shadowing, a young person can spend a few hours a day following an experienced employee during their normal work day. This is available in the medical field, office management, computer careers, and just about any other job offered. It is a great way to be introduced to the real work and find out if it really is the fit for you.
If you want to see what an emergency room nurse does during a shift, this is a great opportunity. Police provide hours of their own time to cover information regarding community safety. Management give short lessons on what it takes to run a company and make sure it will be a success.
